I’ve been wanting to make some bunting and streamers to use for birthday and holiday celebrations for ages. Even if the kids don’t have a party I still like to decorate the lounge room with balloons and streamers to make the day festive and a little more special for them.
Well I had forgotten all about the bunting until I came across some recently on a couple of blogs that I follow. So I thought with 4 birthdays in the next 2 months that I’d best get cracking and make some.
These were so easy to make and I had everything I needed on hand, so I was able to whip them up pretty quickly.
I tried to use the same bright colours that I had used for my Happy Birthday sign and I’ll probably make a couple more as we have 2 double doorways in our lounge room, plus a mantel piece and this is where I’ll hang them.
The great thing about these is that because I’m making them out of fabric, it will use up some more of my huge fabric stash and they’ll last much longer than paper or card ones and if they get dirty they can easily go through the wash.
I actually made a couple of extra when I made these so that I could donate them to a couple of Charity Auctions, and they were a huge hit, which I’m really happy about.
I’ll be sure to add a tutorial when I make the next set.
